Thinking and Breathing, Breathing and Action A 2-hour Online Advanced Training with Feldenkrais Trainer Raz Ori
The quality of every action that we take is dependent on how we envision and predict our own behaviour. Disturbances in our breathing can arise when creating an intention to act and influence how we carry out our actions.
Time & Location
14 Oct, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
About the Event
The quality of every action that we take is dependent on how we envision and predict our own behaviour. Disturbances in our breathing can arise when creating an intention to act and influence how we carry out our actions. Yet, these "pre-action" phases enable a window of awareness through which we can notice and influence our own breathing patterns.
In these 2-hours, Raz will explore the intricate relationships between our breathing patterns, the pre-action phases, our ease of movement and sense of potency. We will explore how thinking about what we are about to do, and how we envision ourselves in action can promote an easier pattern of breathing.
Raz will discuss some of the characteristics of easy, effortless breathing and their underlying mechanisms. The reciprocal relationships between breathing and movement and their synergy in well-organized action will be illuminated.
The Advanced Training will involve an anatomical presentation followed by an ATM lesson and a post-lesson discussion. The session will be recorded for those that attend.
