About the event

Living with pets brings joy, vitality, and enrichment to our lives. Awareness of the natural world, and the animals which inhabit it, brings another dimension to the surroundings in which we live. These relationships expand our perception and understanding of ourselves and our boundaries.

My introduction to Feldenkrais came through my riding and interest in horses and other animals. My early practice was primarily in the equine world - with athletic horses and their athletic riders, with aged and retired horses and their everyday riders.

As I reflect on my current practice, I observe countless ways of relating to my human clients learned from my relationships and work with animals.

Join with me to discuss all things related to the animals in your life

  • How you apply your Feldenkrais understanding and know-how to your animals
  • How to grow your awareness of what your pets teach you
  • How you may expand your human practice by learning from the responses of the animals in your life

Learn ways to enhance the health and relationship with your pet.

Pick up difficulties and pain in their bodies, to ease visits to the vet for vaccinations or diagnosis of more serious illness.

Expand your awareness into your living environment.

Catherine draws on her interest and experience of movement and relationship with all sentient beings in her practice of Feldenkrais. She has experience riding competitively and for pleasure and equine education, coaching riders with and without disabilities as well as her ongoing Feldenkrais practice. She has recently become a WIRES carer.
