About the event

When everything is in balance there is a sense of direction to the flow of force through our bodies. It circulates through the head, spine and torso and out through the limbs.

At rest there is the stillness of effortless circulation.

If we’re out of balance there is a sense of pulling in toward the points of constriction. This results in places that should be free being restricted and places that should be integrated feeling disconnected.

Rather than resist our tensions we’ll seek a wider perspective. We’ll consider the stuck points as a doorway to the lines of connection that extend from head and pelvis to hand and foot.

This brief workshop will use the flow of a rolling ball to explore the way we adapt ourselves to our constantly changing environment. You'll need two tennis balls or some other similar spherical object.

Open to the public, practitioners and trainees. First FIG attendance is FREE!

Special live event hosted by the Feldenkrais Interest Group (FIG) promoting awareness of the larger context of the Feldenkrais Method.
