“Probing Reversibility”
Most of us in the Feldenkrais world think of reversibility, in an ATM lesson, as the ability to return through the pathway that you came from. That is not Moshe’s definition of reversibility. In 1964, in Copenhagen, Moshe gave a talk, after which, he wrote the mathematical derivatives, which became an appendix to that talk, that expressed his intention for the state of reversibility. My friend Roger Russell found that appendix in German and met with some of his physicist and movement science friends and confirmed Moshe’s notion. In this class, we will explore what Moshe meant by reversibility. Come to the class to find out. Prepare to leave the room having experienced a new adventure into ATM, with a clear utilizable understanding that you can apply to your lessons.
