Children with Disability
As a parent of a child with a disability, you hope to see your child enjoy movement and learning. The Feldenkrais Method's gentle and playful approach appeals to children, from infants to teenagers. Younger children often experience quicker improvements due to their adaptable brains. By engaging the brain through movement and touch, Feldenkrais enhances self-awareness and teaches children to move with ease and confidence. Children learn through curiosity and exploration, and a Feldenkrais Practitioner uses gentle, enjoyable movements to support these natural processes. Regardless of whether your child has experienced typical developmental stages, the practitioner aids their progression, whether they are ten weeks or ten years old.
Feldenkrais Practitioners frequently assist children with the following difficulties:
Cerebral Palsy
ADD/ADHD
Stroke and brain injury
Brachial plexus injury
Torticollis
Undiagnosed developmental delays
Genetic disorders (eg Down Syndrome)
Traumatic birth injury
Hypoxic brain damage
Multiple disabilities

Sensory Processing Difficulties
Autism spectrum disorders
Congenital hip dysplasia
