JULIE PECK

Julie graduated as a Feldenkrais practitioner in 1990 and has run a busy private practice in Perth since then.  She is also a Certified Feldenkrais Trainer and teaches in programs around the world. Her ‘adventures’ in the Feldenkrais Method over the years, both through her teaching and the wonderful learning opportunites her practice clients have presented her with, have continued to develop her understanding and appreciation of what makes the Method so unique and potent, and from that base how we can all use the principles of the Method to enrich and enhance our lives in myriad ways.

LESLIE MCLENNAN

Lesley McLennan has had a diverse background through teaching, performance, arts administration, and philanthropy. The unifying themes of movement and accessibility have linked each stage in her professional career.  Lesley has been a Feldenkrais practitioner since 1991, and has recently co-authored (with Julie Peck) a book on the Feldenkrais approach to basic principles of movement: Moving from the Inside Out - to be released internationally in early 2020.

LISA CAMPBELL

Lisa’s interest in helping people with pain began as a Physiotherapist working in Rehabilitation hospitals, and continued over several years of working as a Feldenkrais Practitioner in a multi-disciplinary pain clinic. She has run her Feldenkrais private practice in Bayside Melbourne for nearly 20 years. People wanting help with issues relating to pain make up a large percentage of her practice. Lisa sees clients individually and in groups, runs workshops and teaches in Feldenkrais professional training programs.

Ruth’s fascination with how the martial arts influenced Moshe Feldenkrais in creating his Method lead Ruth to start training in Aikido. Since 1991 Ruth has been cross-pollinating ideas between Feldenkrais and Aikido. Ruth works in Feldenkrais Trainings Programs, has a private  practice comprising of FI, ATM classes and workshops. Ruth is a senior instructor at her Aikido school.

INGRID WEISFELT

Ingrid has been working as a certified Feldenkrais practitioner in the Arts since 2002 and in Allied Health since 2010. Ingrid is a Feldenkrais Assistant Trainer. Ingrid specialises in working with adults, children with special needs and with performers. As well as working in private practice at the Melbourne Feldenkrais Studio, Ingrid works as a Movement Therapist at Warringa Park School and teaches Feldenkrais at the Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne University) School of Dance as part of the Integrated Body Mind Practices unit.

Ingrid was a company member of Meryl Tankards Australian Dance Theatre and TanzTheatre Basel, Switzerland, as well as having an extensive career as a freelance artist both in Australia and overseas. It was a potentially career ending back injury that led her to discover the Feldenkrais Method. Following the completion of her Feldenkrais practitioner training in 2002, Ingrid returned to the stage for another ten years, injury and pain free.

Ingrid’s movement teaching skills have evolved from a study of contemporary and classical dance training, yoga, contact improvisation and physical theatre. Ingrid has taught at several performing arts institutions including the National Theatre Drama School, Monash University, the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University.

Utilising all of her movement and creative skills, Ingrid integrates a strong sense of play, spontaneity and creative exploration into her work. Ingrid works with all people who are interested in improving their ability to move, and who understand that when you improve the way that you move, you also improve the way you feel, sense and think.

Ingrid is a certified member of the Australian Feldenkrais Guild and a registered professional member of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association.

MARGARET MAYO

I have been involved with the Feldenkrais Method since it was first introduced into Australia in the mid 1980s.  From the beginning, with a background as an experienced neuro-physiotherapist, I was transfixed by the marrying of Mind and Body into one modality: that is, we are human, not divided into sections and subsections.

Sara has taught in numerous workplaces and schools throughout Perth and the South-West and takes groups overseas (Bali, Nepal, Vietnam, Tibet and France) for yoga, Feldenkrais, meditation and walking retreats.

She is keen to provide clients with the tools they need to motivate and encourage them to do what they want and require by supplementing the exercises she prescribes in class using what the Feldenkrais Method offers to educate and achieve this aim.
