About
For a number of years, my pain was so debilitating, I was unable to walk without crutches: I know what its like to live with chronic pain.
. . . I know what it's like to have tried all the "usual" modalities to help my situation.
. . . and what it's like to live without a straightforward diagnosis, and struggle each day with pain.
Through a synergy of dedicated work with the Feldenkrais Method® and meditation finally, slowly, the changes that allow me to lead a full and energetic life came about. I love what the Feldenkrais Method® has been able to do for me and those I teach and treat.
I began my training in 2010, and graduated from the Melbourne 4 training program in 2014. I have been teaching ATM (Awareness through Movement) since 2011, and working in my private practice with individual clients since my graduation.
My personal journey with the Feldenkrais Method® gives me a strong passion for working with others to facilitate learning new more effective and efficient, pain free ways to move.
In my time off I love to travel in places with a wide open spaciousness: whether locally, in our beautiful Red Centre, in Tibet or on an annual visit to my beloved Beara Peninsula in West Cork. Since Covid, I have been waylaid in Ireland: an unexpected extended but welcome stay, exploring the wild spaciousness of the Beara Peninsula, swimming in that wild Atlantic ocean every day.
At home in Hobart, I walk my scruffy Irish Terrier, Ruby, in the bush of Knocklofty, go Salsa dancing a couple of times a week, and love my weekly meditation sessions.
