Sally Low is the founder of The Salamander Centre for Feldenkrais and Creative Dance. The vision of the centre is to connect people to themselves and each other through movement and creativity.

Sally designs’ programs, offers classes and engages with clients individually. She weaves together her professional skills as a Physiotherapist, Feldenkrais Practitioner, Creative Movement and Dance teacher and Dance Therapist, offering you innovative ways to get to know your body and how it moves and feels. These skills assist in your rehabilitation pathway, your ability to age with dignity and independence, children and baby’s ability to thrive and meet their developmental milestones and personal development. People often use her services through times of transition. They may be experiencing increased anxiety or feeling stuck which may be reflected in their body. She draws on her 40 years experience across diverse health and creative settings to share her knowledge with the aim of empowering you with skills and processes that may be useful for your individual needs.

Her work bridges functional and expressive movement allowing for wholeness, which acknowledges the processes of doing, being, becoming and belonging. This is a collaborative process established from developing trust through relationship and the willingness to experiment. Sally believes in providing a positive mirror to her clients at times when they cannot find it themselves and to assist them to think/move/feel/sense towards possibilities.

All services offered at The Salamander Centre are based on a dynamic model of play and creativity allowing for capacity building in cognitive, physical and social skills. They allow for increased body awareness, problem solving, fun and meaning making. By participating in a framework of creative ability you are encouraged to present oneself free from self - consciousness allowing you to come up with something new and to celebrate your own uniqueness and diversity. Creative environments allow you to view and solve problems more openly and with innovation. Through curiosity, open mindedness and imagination, play allows for the development and expression of self - image and relationships to self and others.

Sally believes in the evolving world creativity and play, through Feldenkrais and expressive dance promotes well being and resilience in the face of change.
