Anna Yen is a Feldenkrais Method ® practitioner, performer, writer, director and movement teacher. Anna teaches Awareness Through Movement at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane to vocal and instrumental pedagogy students, faciltitates PlayMoves workshops which integrate Feldenkrais and performance skills, and gives one to one lessons to performing artists, and the general public. She has taught Feldenkrais Method to people who want to age well, children, general public, people with all abilities, actors, dancers, clowns, acrobats, musicians , yoga teachers (at YogaFest), theatre directors, in communities, companies and universities. Her arts work spans theatre, contemporary circus, physical theatre, and film. Anna is the recipient of a Churchill Fellowship and a Matilda Award Special Commendation. Anna’s acclaimed film / stage play “Chinese Take Away” has taken her to festivals around the world. She is a trainer at Vulcana Women’s Circus and has taught for Circus Oz. Anna teaches Playful Engagement to staff at aged care facilities. Anna performed in "Tower of Babel" 2019, "Concerto for Harmony and Presto" a clown show at the 2019 Shanghai International Arts Festival, and the acclaimed
"The Serpent's Table" Sydney Festival. Anna has taught PlayMoves - Movement Workshops for Performance which integrates performance skills, games and the Feldenkrais Method in Perth, Townsville, Cairns, Melbourne, Wollongong, Maleny, Bellbrae and Brisbane. There is an annual week long PlayMoves workshop in Brisbane each year.
Anna is available for One to One Feldenkrais Lessons and group Awareness Through Movement classes for specific interest groups.
Anna presents "Wake Up! A Feldenkrais Inspired Sequence for the general public.
