I enjoy assisting people to find more joy in their movement. The power of movement and its ability to positively change our psychological states is fascinating to me. Helping people access their own bodily intelligence and awaken their sensory awareness to improve their functioning in everyday life is the focus of my work.
I have been working in Movement Education for 20 years. Before becoming a Feldenkrais Practitioner I taught Dance and Choreography in Senior Secondary School. I have a Graduate Diploma in Movement and Dance from Melbourne University.
I'm convinced that Mind-training, in its many forms, has a positive impact on our lives, and those around us. The Feldenkrais Method is a type of mind training too. I also value my own meditation practise - it helps me find equilibrium!
I continue to teach teenagers part-time, they always have something to teach me! And I am enjoying developing my green-thumb as I get older. I live in Tasmania so there is always a nice bushwalk or beach to visit. A couple of years ago my husband and I built a movement studio on our property. This is where I have based my Feldenkrais practice.
