- Functional Integration & Awareness Through Movement
Hi there :) My name is Molly Tipping and I am a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Pilates Instructor with a passion for integrating the most up to date body-mind science with holistic practice to improve posture, movement, anxiety and performance.
My history is that I have a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, and although dancing is reserved for my kitchen and Weddings these days, I am still well connected with my roots, and my performance history is instrumental in how I teach.
I have been working in the movement field for 20 years now, first as a dancer, then as a Pilates Instructor and now as a Feldenkrais Practitioner and today I run my own practice in West Perth. I see a range of clients from wee babies, to sassy teens and adults of all ages and I offer generous session times and intimate group classes to ensure I help my clients find personally meaningful solutions to address their pain, dysfunction and anxiety. I, of course, have a special interest in Dance technique and performance and in the last 5 years this interest has extended to working with actors and singers.
Over the last decade I have pursued a personal passion to synthesis Moshe Feldenkrais’ work on anxiety and I am grateful to have been able to share my passion in public and professional workshops in Perth, Margaret River and Sydney. I also have a long collaborative relationship with Brigit Cosgrove and in 2014 we bought our work together in an audio program called Move Over Anxiety which is on sale in Australia and The United States.
Aside from my private practice I lecture in Alignment, Kinesiology and Performance Anxiety at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in the Dance, Music, Theatre and Performance departments. I also teach professional development (PD) workshops for The Pilates Method Association (APMA), The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and for The Feldenkrais Guild (AFG).
If you would like to work with me I offer in-person and online options for clients and practitioners Monday to Friday.
